February 24: One-Day-Trip to Bangkok

Second trip to Bangkok in 2014.

(Considering the fact that I came back to Singapore on Jan 2.)

Was eagerly waiting for this trip.

Comfort trip, back to our third home.

Comfort-wear back to Bangkok.

Our Weekly-Monday-Shot 😍

When we left the house, Charcoal was sniffing the luggage.

We will miss you for 12 hours, Charcoal!

We reached the airport pretty early.

Shopped a bit.

Had coffee.

What else, but take photos!

Headed to our favourite breakfast place and ordered the usual.

I think I must learn to cook their noodles.

Went to pray and offer our gratitude at the shrine.

Thank you for the abundance of blessings showered upon our families and us,

Phra Phrom.

The streets were pretty clear.

Peaceful.

No major happenings.

We went off to MBK to stock up contact lenses.

Walked over to Paragon for more shopping.

Yeah! Another orange box!

Was tired after all the shopping.

Headed to Harold's for tea and cake.

Had my fill of red velvet 😘

With time on hand, we headed to 義德堂 next to Hua Lampong. One candonate coffins for the burial of the destitute deceased at 500 baht. There are some who can't afford the cost of death rites and/or unclaimed bodies from accidents or illnesses. The donation goes towards the payment for the coffin & burial ceremony. Coffin donation is considered a form of merit-making for the Thais. 

It's an act of compassion.

Even if you are not a Buddhist, you can donate too!

Final and must-go-to stop will be back to Mai Thai for our massage.

Too bad Laogong's favourite masseuse was not around, 

but actually, anyone there is good too!

With the Airport Rail nearby, we had dinner and set off for the airport after the massage.

Allocated a bit of time for tax refund and more duty-free shopping :p

Almost 10.30pm when the flight took off and we were deadbeat.

Slept for the whole flight back home.

Luckily we drove and parked at the airport, 

we zoomed back home immediately upon reaching the airport.

Till then, Bangkok.

See you soon, in three weeks.

Since passing my driving test in 2000,

I've been driving.

Thankful for parents who sponsored my driving lessons.

Thankful for generous people in my life.

People who sincerely treat me well.

I remember Laogong's 教练 said something along the line of not having regrets.

I totally agree.

It is very expensive to buy a car, any car in Singapore.

I decided on a second-hand car.

I seeked Laogong's approval and so, 

I realised my dream.

We don't print money.

We are not millionaires.

We work very hard.

We fulfill dreams and goals we have.

Chinese New Year 2014 (First post of 2014)

Shortly after our 16 days holiday in Thailand (our 3rd home!), 

we had to start cleaning the house to prepare for Chinese New Year 2014.

Since we moved to reside in JB, 

we love the house and always welcome 

parties and gathering at home.

Like I mentioned before, having guests over

is the best way to make sure we clean up the house!

Reunion Lunches / Dinners are always happy moments!

Though we only started on the reunion lunches 

in recent years, I love them!

And nowadays, we have two!

One during Hari Raya and 

one during Chinese New Year.

Major Love :)

Chinese New Year in JB in terms of celebration

is totally not like SG.

Visitations and all are of course the same.

Family and friends :)

But ...

We've fire-crackers and fireworks!

The Merry Season

I have been obsessed with Chanel Le Vernis but they do not have it in silver.

I'm always grateful and thankful and of course especially grateful nearing Thanksgiving. 

Thankful for my Parents , Laogong, Bro & Family of course,  no one can compare to them. For everything they have done and they did not. Family is always the best. 

Thankful for Friends who are kind, non-judgemental and also understand friendship. To those who are nothing like that, big thank you too! For highlighting the true friends. True friends, thank you. You're like my second Family for putting in so much effort in the friendship. 

Thankful for the Children (and supportive parents) I've taught,  for without you,  my ambition would not have been fulfilled and my passion would not have continue burning. 

Thank you for the life I've. Blessed I know I am and I try to be nice and return to the community. 

Thank you 2013 especially, yet another great year! One year ago,  we got our first set of keys to the house. One year later, now,  I'm sitting at the porch,  sipping coffee,  writing this post. Life. Thank you for treating me so nicely. It's been fantastic! 

The Weekend (again)

Finally the tree was set on Monday!

Laogong and I decided on the Red & Gold theme.

To be honest, I took a picture and then decided,

not to leave the presents there.

Our tree is outside the house and the car porch

can get quite dusty.

So, I kept all the presents in again.

So, back to the weekend.

Now that mummy is sort of resting at home, 

I go back more often.

Slacked the weekend away with parents at home.

I'm so glad that all is better and fine!

Attended Shuhui & Jun Han's wedding dinner 

on Sunday at Orchard Hotel.

Caught up with ex-colleagues.

Had fun as usual at yet another wedding dinner.

One more anniversary dinner to go.

One overnight-gathering at my place.

One more wedding dinner to go.

Then it will be,

"Hello Chiang Mai & Bangkok!"

Can't wait!

The Weekend

Considered between Red and Purple before the colouring.

Finally decided on Red and I love it!

Totally ♥ it!

The best thing about the hair dye - the smell!

Amazingly, it smells so nice!

I forgot to ask about the brand and name of the dye.

The smell could be smelled from a distance when I saw the stylist mixing the colour.

So super nice smelling that I went around asking people to smell my hair!

Even mummy said that it strangely smells nice!

Attended Christina and Joseph's wedding dinner at Holiday Inn.

Much memories came back.

The place where Laogong and I held our wedding dinner!

I miss the lion dance we had! 

Haha :p
