Our Typical Blessed Day...

Normally, Ollie will wake up between 7.30am - 8.30am.

I will then feed her in bed and go back to sleep together with her.

Today all of us slept in till 10+,

what a great way to start the day :p

Washed up, put her in the car seat and we headed out for breakfast. 

Qing Ming came and left.

Rainy days too.

The sun is shining so brightly!

Back home, while Laogong was washing the car porch, 

Ollie had her tummy time and I chose to go through colours 

with her today.

Hehe, have to tell her that Papa and Mummy both love Red!

And Mummy loves pink too.

(With Ollie flipping like a roti prata now, 

eyes must be her all the time!)

She swims about 4 times a week and 

Monday is usually one of the days.

Used the actually dysfunctional Brestfriend Nursing Pillow

as a support for her.

As usual, while waiting for the water to fill up 

the inflatable pool,she will be unhappy.

We must teach this hot babe some patience!

Today's lesson was about having a streamline body.

Ollie outgrew two of her sweet swimming costume,

and since it is at home, we just let her out on those

reusable swim diapers, without a top.

I think I want to get her a set of bikini!

Settled her for a nap after her shower and it's some me/we time!

Thai Ice Tea to go with my drama episodes.

Will wait for her to be awake before we head out for some

shopping and then dinner.

Ollie usually has her bed time from 9pm - 10pm.

Quite late I know some mummies may say, 

but well, different family different lifestyle :)

Grow well, Ollie, grow!

And so... Ollie Flipped on 9/4/15

Ollie has been trying to flip these couple of days. 

She is a very determined child, really. 

She even tried to flip in her sleep! 

After so much tears, she did it! 

I'm so glad that Laogong and I witnessed it together! 

Good job, Ollie! 

Much as I'm proud of you, that you managed to flip, I'm even more happy as an infant, you displayed such determination to want to do it! 

As always, much as results are important, the process of learning and trying is too! 

Yeah!

Ollie's 4th Month Celebration & Anti-drooling Ceremony

Food theme socks for the celebration. 

Time flies! 

Way too fast. 

In between shuttling to visit mummy and making sure that Ollie's babyhood is meaningful, we managed to fit in time for her 4th month celebration. 

This is non-religious. 

Simply some Chinese traditions.

No worries, she didn't consume them. 

She'll have her solids when she is 6 months old. 

The licking of the chicken drumstick sort of signifies that she'll eat well next time. 

The spring onions (葱) has the same sound as clever (聪明) and we hope she will grow up (street) smart and wise. 

The marie biscuits is sort of the anti-drooling belief.

Wipe away her saliva and don't drool excessively. (搽搽掉) In Hokkien, Qik Qik Diao. 

Overall, it was good fun and in the hope of general wellness for Ollie.

Early exposure for fun. 

I'm not expecting her to be able to write super early.

Pure exposure.

I would love that she grows up to be street smart too, a very important tool in life. 

Her most challenging hours of the day are usually from 7pm to 9pm.

Other than that, Olympia is a doing a great job! Well done! It's quite a breeze. 

For the past few months, Ollie has given me an enjoyable mummy experience.

Thankful...

It has been a busy few weeks and (still is) at home but I'm glad all is well (and better) and fine. 

After the emotional roller coaster at home, the nation wide news came and again, the roller coaster went down. 

Words has been said by all, not saying it now doesn't mean I'm not grateful. 

Thank you.

Back to home happenings. 

With all the happenings at home, I cut down on my meet-ups with friends. 

Too tired also. 

Ollie also shuttles a few days with me tovisit. 

Not everyday, but a few days, so that we get our granddaughter, mother & grandmother bonding time. 

Thankful for family time, no matter where it is. 

Thankful for the blessings showered to us, please please please please keep mummy healthy.

Yesterday, we took Ollie to the baby fair near our kampong. 

I don't want her to miss out on her babyhood because of everything. 

Life and activities do not stop for her, even if it's just within home. 

More entries after next week. 

With GST replacing service tax, we quickly stock up on stuff (actually, also because it was cheaper at the fair). 

Thankful that we have the means to buy what we want and spend how we want. 

Very thankful. 

I was just looking at those stuff we bought for Ollie and my unopened personal shopping bags from weeks ago, I am. Thankful. 

I've more than others and I tell myself and tell Ollie, we must always return to the society. 

Laogong and I woke up at 4am with intention to go pay our respect, but the queue is not open. Watching CNA and crying again. RIP Sir.

What a warm day it was! 

Decided to let Ollie do a night swim. 

The water was warm, we didn't even turn on the water heater. 

My hot babe flared up when we carried her out after 15 minutes (not enough?). 

Wailed (and we still wanted to take photos :p) but did stop to pose for photos?! 

She burped and dirtied her pyjamas so I changed her into her (my) favourite of the moment - Ong Lai romper, with matching socks and bow.

For bed. 

Hahaha. 

My good girl is finally asleep beside me. 

Well, my bed time too. Good night!

Olympia is 3 months young!

Olympia's Last Day as a Newborn (Video)

Tomorrow, Ollie is a Newborn no more!
She will be an infant officially!
Time flies.
Tomorrow, March 5, Ollie is 3 month old!
It was a hot afternoon.
She fussed because of the heat.
Simple.

We turn on the water to fill up the pool.
Her eyes lit up!
She knew she was going to swim!
After numerous sessions,
she is able to stay in the pool for a long duration.
She is also able to kick more.
Can't wait to bring our true blue
The Water Family's baby to the big pool.

After the swim and her feed, 

she is now fast asleep! 

Hehe. Yes, I added on another holey top

to her already quite large collection 

of holey tops and bottoms. 

Time flies (too fast). 

These three months have been great. 

I know more is to come once she start crawling. 

I'm enjoying every moment with her. 

Be it her good times or her cranky times,

that's just her. 

It's tiring. 

I'm sleepy often. 

Well,  but falling asleep beside my big and small

(well, not that small)  babies is a blessing. 

Looking at the photos of my family too, 

is a blessing. 

Feeling extremely Blessed for what I have. 

Thankful for the support of my family too.

Milk Powder Donation

No, I don't need formula milk.
Blessed Mummy is able to produce enough milk for lucky me still.
I am still a total breastfed baby.
Thankful I am for such blessings.

Today, Mummy and Papa took me to the orphanage again.
Thank you, Auntie Belinda, Auntie Valerie and your families.
I am helping you to deliver the milk powder and hangers.
Well, I can't quite lift them up, so I got Papa to carry them.

Thank you for being so kind.
I will listen to Mummy and Papa and always remember to return to the society in whatever ways I can.

Olympia's 1st Visit to the Orphanage

After all the festivities, it's time to return to the society. Other than the Children's Homes we go to in Thailand & in Singapore, we decided to visit one in Malaysia to help them as well.

This one is just a 15 minutes drive away from home. Not knowing what they need yet, we packed the new and unworn diapers (Ollie cannot fit in those newborn and small size diapers anymore). They have three babies (youngest is one month old) and the diapers will be handy. They have 50 over children and the oldest is 17. Found out what they need and we will return to deliver the items maybe within the next two weeks.

I hope Ollie will learn to be kind to others and give more than she receives / will receive.

After the good deed, we also had a good lunch! Packed and extremely warm! Luckily she managed to stay good and quiet in the carrier. I love babywearing. The closeness with Ollie is priceless. Haha. Laogong & I are always fighting to babywear Ollie.

Pleasant Monday we had!

Chinese New Year 2015

This is the first CNY with Ollie and of course,

a new baby in the house is always everyone's favourite.

It was an easy time because everyone wanted to carry her!

We didn't even bring the baby seat or carrier around

when we went for visitation.

Had our reunion dinner and decided to bring Olympia

to River Hong Bao.

It was also my first time!

I never like crowd or places that I know will be very warm.

Well, I did enjoy the night with my little family.

初一

Lucky Ollie has many sets of new clothes,

thanks to all my lovely friends and parents 

of my students.

She changed an average of two to three

sets a day and well, still has new dresses

to change into!

As usual, visited Laogong's side and my side.

The most tiring day!

We stayed home in the day and had friends over.

In the evening, we went over to our neighbour's

place for a BBQ.

Great day it was!

初三

We had friends over as well as the annual lion dance!

Friends will know our love for lion dance.

We had to have it!

Relaxing evening for the day and well,

CNY is sort of nuff' said for us.

Chill and relax for the rest of the day.

初四

Life is back to usual!

Had brunch at our favourite Tea Garden and we

slack the afternoon away.

Not so much of a slacking day for Ollie.

She had her weekly swim.

Love to see her kicking happily.

It must have been quite a workout for her.

We headed to Jusco for early dinner and shopping.

She was snoozing happily in the carrier from 4+ to about 8pm.

Back home, fed her and changed her and she is still snoozing 

as I type this post.

I love CNY with the family and even more so now,

with the new addition.

And that leads me to the special Devilz Family Collage.

Haha, it seems to be a year where the whatsapp is slightly

more active on CNY (even our super busy Bucky replies!)

Hope everyone is having a great CNY and 

definitely going to have a great year ahead!

三羊开泰

It was a great Monday!
We left the house early (9am instead of 10+) for breakfast (where else but Tea Garden - Laogong's favourite for now) so that we can be the first to queue at the car polishing place.
Who knows, we reached Jusco at 9.40am and we were sixth in queue!
Still, we didn't manage to polish the car there because we were not members with Carz.
Whatever.
Off we went to run errands and shop a bit.
A couple of times previously when we were at Jusco, Olympia was in the stroller.
This time round, Laogong was carrying her and we managed to take our wefie!
Bought whatever we wanted and drove over to Tesco.
Finally managed to get our car polished there.
Shopped around and had lunch at Starbucks.
Sad that our favourite Duck Fettuccine was not available.
Went back home and 'helped' the part time cleaners with the house.
Trashed away two big bags of rubbish.
Finally the house is quite tidied.
They didn't managed the car porch (Cny, same price, fewer hours - and they keep asking me to top up for additional hours) so Laogong volunteer to wash it on Wednesday.
Happy with the clean house.
Thankful for the dinner with our taman's friends.
Came back, bathed Olympia, put her to bed.
Laogong also fell asleep with her.
Fed Charcoal.
Did laundry.
Finally, I had time to make a coffee and do some admin for Laogong.
It's 3.51am now.
Did quite a bit of work.
Wondering if Olympia will wake up soon so that I can breastfeed her (doesn't look like).
I shall do some pumping because I'm tired also and I can't wait anymore.
Guess she will wake up at 7am...

Daily Blessings

Life definitely wasn't what it used to be.

Life definitely is getting better. 

It is such a blessing to wake up to Olympia sleeping beside us. 

It is such a blessing to be breathing healthily. 

It is such a blessing to have my family members supporting me. 

It is such a blessing that we have lots more blessings being showered upon us all the time. 

It's 2.33am. 

10 years ago, I might be out clubbing with Bb Ni, even on a weekday night. 

5 years ago, I might be watching a movie with laogong. 

Last year, I might still be cleaning the house in the middle of the night before Cny.

And now, I'm Ollie's mummy watching her (and laogong) sleep. 

Again,  I'm thankful and blessed that (oh, did I hear Ollie snore while I type?!)  Ollie is growing well and life with her has been fun and meaningful so far. 

I know some might tell me that now is the easiest because she only sleeps, eats and cries. 

I'm enjoying every moment and ready to take on any challenges with her.

I had a SAHM job offer. Haha. 

I decided to reject it for now. 

Will reconsider the option again if necessary. 

With a 14h-work-week, the break away from parenting is doing me good. 

Will keep to that for awhile. 

Till then, back to gazing at Ollie as I doze off to bed. 

立春

First day of Spring! 

May all enjoy good health and good wealth. 

Thankful for the abundance of blessings we have been showered with.  

We'll continue to return to the society as we receive. 

All of us decked in new clothes! 

Ollie is in there dress Jackie bought from her. 

She is opening her CDA account today! 

Laogong is also in his new shirt as he deposit money. 

No,  I'm not in red, am in orange! Hehe...
