The nth time our family gathers.
That is what I love about CNY.
Tiring, yes, very.
But I love it.
Uncle and Aunties helped Mummy and Papa with the final preparations for 擂茶.
In fact, Mummy and Papa already started last night.
Lei cha (擂茶; léi chá; literally "pounded tea") is a Hakka tea-based beverage or gruel consisting of a mix of tea leaves that are ground or pounded together with various roasted nuts, seeds, and grains. The tea is drunk for breakfast or on cold winters as a tasty and healthy restorative. Lei cha is very popular in Taiwan, Southern China, Malaysia as well as any locations with a large population of Hakka people
Lei cha is traditionally a savory drink, however now it is usually consumed sweet.
If you know me well enough, you will know that this is a lunch I will definitely skip.
I survived on 5 fried mid-wings and 1 coffee.
Fat Rat Bro left for work without eating too.
Well, this is really not our kind of lunch!
