昨天吃了

0900h
Me: 妈妈要去教补习了。下午我们去MBS,然后我吃ice-cream ok?
(my bad, I should have said 冰淇淋)

O: 不用。昨天吃了。昨天妈妈爸爸也吃了。
This little child of mine surprises me with her good memory,
her contentment and her vocabulary every day. 

You Know A Shopaholic When You See One

Ollie totally refused to let me carry the paper bag.
She insisted on carrying it!
She is absolutely proud of her shopping loot.
Again, refused to let me carry the shopping basket!
Had tea/coffee while waiting to collect things,
look at how lovey-dovey the Papa is with his
precious daughter.

Great Day!

I'm sure I did Mama proud today!
Two solo drives and she did it!
No, I think I did it!
I didn't cry.
I didn't whine.
I just ate my (many, many)  puffs.
I just drank from my water bottle.
I just watched the videos.
I just enjoy the scenery.
Mama is happy!
She is thrilled!
Before that, Mama and Kakak also took me to Giggles to meet Scarlett and Arissa.
Giggles is so much more fun than Gymboree.
I told Mama, no more Gymboree!
Meixian Jie Jie and Shaun Kor Kor also came to pass Mama and Auntie Sennett things.
Well, I'm heading to dinner with Papa and Mama now.
I'm sure it's a great day for them, no meltdown from me!

Spoilt Mama...

I am Xiaoxin,
Ollie's Mama.
Dear Ollie,
You have a spoilt Mama.
Blessed she is to be spoilt by all the loved ones around her.
Now she is also spoiling you.
-----------------------------------
I was telling Laogong about how
we have given Ollie the best that we can.
How can we then ensure she has the best in future too?
Precisely, we cannot.
In future, she has to do it on her own.
Which is why now, I give her all the best.
I spoil her.
She gets what she wants.
She gets whatever I (we) think I (we) want to give her.
Penguin Papa and Mummy gave Boy and I the best too.
They are the best and that is how much
I want to give Ollie.
Everything.
That is how much I want to be for Ollie.
The best.
Of course, the best that will be given
will definitely be complemented with
teaching her how to grow up from a girl to
a woman of grace and substance.
(Other than great memories and great friendships,
the very meaningful vision from CHIJ will always
be in my mind)

Every time I think about Mummy, it is rather emotional.
The first five months of the year, or rather actually,
till now, it is constantly an emotional roller coaster.
Just that the first five months, it is even more emotionally
 and physically tiring.
Ollie has been and I'm sure will continue to be a fantastic baby.
MIL has been very helpful also.
Ollie allows us a lot of sleep, compared to many other parents.
She sleeps well, drinks well, eats well, grows well, shops well, plays well
(but well, sometimes, I find her overwhelming,
or maybe just a little bit like me - 大姐大wannabe).
This might also be because of her Leo Mama and Leo Popo.
Mummy and I are both Leos. Very strong Leos.
Leos who do as much as we can for our family,
Leos who lead a life as glamorous and fine as we want.
Much as Ollie is not a Leo (now now, what is she? I better check it up),
she displays strong characteristics like Mummy and me.

Everyday, I look at Ollie, Laogong looks at Ollie, and we go,
"Very cute hor. Very clever hor."
Note, those are statements, not questions.
I'm sure all parents feel the same way.
My child is da best!

Watching Ollie turn, flip, crawl, stand and now, almost cruising,
is quite emotional too.
This little champion who was doing the same in my womb last year
is now doing all these right in front of me!
Soon, Ollie will be One.

I will continue to spoil her.
Giving her the best,
being the best I can for her.

PS1: Verbal vomit. I didn't draft. I didn't edit.
Simply typed all these out.
Which kind of explain the flow, or rather no flow of words.

PS2: Ollie is not having a Onederful Party.
She is not able to tell me who she wants to invite
or what will be the the theme she desires.
Till she can verbalise what she wants
(and yes, she gets whatever she wants),
there is no party.
I predict we will have one when she is 3 or 4.

PS3: If you're still reading, you're good!
Haha, I seldom do a verbal vomit.
(but I'm in the mood today, two entries!)
I doubt Laogong will read till here too!

Bye!

With the intention to shop...

On Monday,  with the intention to have lunch then shop then do Olympia's 胎毛笔 (brush made of baby hair) and 脐带章 (to seal up the umbilical cord) , we ended up with only lunch and Olympia's agenda. Haha. Actually, we didn't do the  胎毛笔 in the end. The person wanted to shave all her hair to do the brush and I objected violently (really). Decided not to do that and do the seal. We also decided to do her handprint and footprint and gold plate them. The package gave us a free photoshoot or rather, Ollie. We ended seeing more than three hours at the shop! She was super tired after the mini photoshoot. I learnt some parenting tips there from the mother of four boss. Can't wait to see the end products!

Ollie is Amost 6kg!

Past two Sundays when I return to parents' place,
I will weigh Olympia.
Last week she was 4.9kg and
yesterday, she was 5.7kg.
Almost hitting the 6kg mark!
I'm glad my breastmilk is doing her well!
Other than playing and talking with her,
I love to watch her sleep!
Especially when she sleeps #likeaboss!
One of my favourite shots!

Certification Begins!

With home-schooling in mind,
I decided to create certificates for Olympia as she learns
and progresses right from young.

They are sort of like a list of achievements she has and
will achieve now and in future.

Grow well, Olympia.
Be kind to others and yourself.
Be happy from within.
Be healthy.

Lots Love.

Happy 1st Month, Olympia.

Dear Olympia,

You are one month old today!
I hope this has been a good one month for you just like how it has been for all of us at home.
You bring smiles to everybody.
From lying in the operating theatre to carrying you in my arms to coming back to our JB home, everyday has been very busy and meaningful.
Your papa is doing a very good job and I am sure he will continue to do so.
You are our precious Princess and we really want you to grow up very kind, happy and healthy.
On January 5, 2015, we decided to have your first swimming session / lesson.
You didn't cry, so we assume you quite like it!
We hope you enjoy the sun and the water as much as we do, but whatever it is, your interest still matters!

Happy 1st Month, Olympia!

Olympia's 1st Month Party!

Wasn't it just December 5, 2014 when Olympia arrived in Gleneagles?
It's been a month and we advance-celebrated her 满月 yesterday at Grand Mecure Roxy.
Big Thank You to all who came.
Thank you for your generosity in taking time out to attend the party and for the bountiful gifts and red packets for Olympia and us (so sweet of you all, Papa and Mummy also get gifts!)
It was such an 'easy' party where we did nothing to prepare except to invite family and friends.
Thanks Jo & Ron for the lobang.
Thanks Marj & Daze for the blue/white tac.
Thanks Mermaid for collecting everything and choosing things that made mummy so excited and happy. Haha.
Apologies to if we have not been able to invite you due to circumstances, or worse still, forgot to invite you.
It's been a great though extremely busy one month as we adjust our roles for Olympia and the brain is mostly used for Olympia and the family

Olympia's Fashion Show...

Effectively, she's only showcasing half the number of outfits she changed today. The rest, no time to take a picture because they are situations where we need to change in a rush. Haha.

First Tummy Time on 28 Dec 2014

Brought Olympia back to Bedok yesterday to visit.
Glad that she brought smiles to everyone at home.
It so happened we had guests at home also.
Mum was tired and took her nap.
With Olympia awake, Laogong and I decided to have Olympia's first tummy time!
I tried to entice her with a new bag in order to make tummy time successful.
Haha,
Ok, I am joking.
The bag is for her to keep all her ang baos during CNY.
Ok, I am not joking :p

IT WAS A SUCCESS!
Olympia managed to lift her head up quite quickly and unexpectedly.
So much so that we did not manage to capture the moment.
(Also because we were too happy and clapping for her).
Laogong tried to do a theory lesson for her.
Teaching her how to 'bend-open-close',
getting her ready for swimming!
Congratulations, my dear Olympia, on your first successful tummy time.
Strong neck you have!
Laogong went Bangkok to conduct a lesson today.
I tried another session of tummy time with Olympia and she managed to do it again!
Yeah!
Manage to capture the picture today!
Good job, Olympia!

Lovely Afternoon...

It's Olympia's mummy here.
Haha. I've been blogging in Olympia's perspective sometimes, so I better make it clear...

I'm home alone with Olympia.
She had her milk at 1pm while we lunched.
While laogong went to Vibes to fix up the curtains, I started on some admin work for 2015.
I'm feeling 90% OK from the cesarean delivery.
(though I think it takes up to 6 months for complete healing)
The mood is also up and (touchwood)  no more hormonal emotions.
It could also be due to the massive online shopping (and receiving of them).
Thank you, Laogong.
You've been paying and paying and encouraging me to spend (haha) for the past few months while I spend and spend.

At 4pm, our dear Olympia was hungry and I stopped work, started drama and fed her. I can so get used to such routine :) Love her satisfied look. Shall continue with my drama and a bit of online shopping while she doze...

Oh yes! Just a reminder:

Dear Parents and Children,

I'm working out the schedule and will be sending them to you (via WhatsApp)  soon. (Workaholic? Sorry children, I can't wait to start solving Mathematics sums and all the other papers!) All lessons resume 17 Jan (Sat).  I'm all ready to go! Those who have yet to confirm classes / subjects, let me know real soon as some classes are full and I have no other available slots because I need to keep those slots for Olympia :)

Passport

Papa and Mummy took me to ICA this morning.
The car park was so congested that we couldn't get a parking lot.
Papa had to take me to collect the passport while Mummy waited for a lot.
Anyway, I'm now a proud owner of a passport and I'm 22 days old!
I'll be going to Thailand in March with Papa and Mummy.
Yeah!

Blessed Christmas 2014

2014 has been a great year filled with joy, happiness and laughter.
There were sad and worrying moments (this is life) but we managed, the family as one.
Thankful for the abundance of blessings showered upon the family,  we will definitely continue to contribute and return to the society.
With our latest addition in the family,  there will be changes in life, better ones I'm sure :)
Merry Christmas 2014 and Blessed 2015 ahead!

Olympia's Many Firsts ...

Merry Christmas!
Today Mummy took me to Auntie Irene's house for their Christmas gathering.
It is my FIRST Christmas.
It is my FIRST Christmas gathering.
Auntie Des left before Mummy and the aunties took the picture.
The Christmas tree is so nice.
Mummy says we will put up our own tree next year.
Well, the FIRST Christmas tree decorating experience will be kept till then.
Thank you, Auntie Jo for taking the picture.

Mummy took this picture for Auntie Sharon and Jie Jie Heather.
The log cake is so cute.
Jie Jie Heather is smiling so happily.
Big Kor Kor Josh and Jie Jie Heather played with Max all the time.
I think Max must be very tired!

Small Kor Kor Josh and I took a picture today.
His hair is very stylo!
They stand!
So cool!

Thank you for all the presents, dearest aunties.
I forgot who gave me the FIRST present but thank you very much to all of you!

I got home and I received my FIRST mail!
Thank you very much Auntie Lyn (from Little Suite).
Auntie Irene also bought me my FIRST set of books (named after me, haha).
Mummy and Papa bought me many books but this set is extra special!
It's "I LOVE OLLIE".
Thank you, Auntie Irene.

And lastly, how can I forget Mummy's #SOTD.
I am happy that she is happy.
She can finally fit into all her Chanel collection again!
Yay!
