Great Day!

I'm sure I did Mama proud today!
Two solo drives and she did it!
No, I think I did it!
I didn't cry.
I didn't whine.
I just ate my (many, many)  puffs.
I just drank from my water bottle.
I just watched the videos.
I just enjoy the scenery.
Mama is happy!
She is thrilled!
Before that, Mama and Kakak also took me to Giggles to meet Scarlett and Arissa.
Giggles is so much more fun than Gymboree.
I told Mama, no more Gymboree!
Meixian Jie Jie and Shaun Kor Kor also came to pass Mama and Auntie Sennett things.
Well, I'm heading to dinner with Papa and Mama now.
I'm sure it's a great day for them, no meltdown from me!

Spoilt Mama...

I am Xiaoxin,
Ollie's Mama.
Dear Ollie,
You have a spoilt Mama.
Blessed she is to be spoilt by all the loved ones around her.
Now she is also spoiling you.
-----------------------------------
I was telling Laogong about how
we have given Ollie the best that we can.
How can we then ensure she has the best in future too?
Precisely, we cannot.
In future, she has to do it on her own.
Which is why now, I give her all the best.
I spoil her.
She gets what she wants.
She gets whatever I (we) think I (we) want to give her.
Penguin Papa and Mummy gave Boy and I the best too.
They are the best and that is how much
I want to give Ollie.
Everything.
That is how much I want to be for Ollie.
The best.
Of course, the best that will be given
will definitely be complemented with
teaching her how to grow up from a girl to
a woman of grace and substance.
(Other than great memories and great friendships,
the very meaningful vision from CHIJ will always
be in my mind)

Every time I think about Mummy, it is rather emotional.
The first five months of the year, or rather actually,
till now, it is constantly an emotional roller coaster.
Just that the first five months, it is even more emotionally
 and physically tiring.
Ollie has been and I'm sure will continue to be a fantastic baby.
MIL has been very helpful also.
Ollie allows us a lot of sleep, compared to many other parents.
She sleeps well, drinks well, eats well, grows well, shops well, plays well
(but well, sometimes, I find her overwhelming,
or maybe just a little bit like me - 大姐大wannabe).
This might also be because of her Leo Mama and Leo Popo.
Mummy and I are both Leos. Very strong Leos.
Leos who do as much as we can for our family,
Leos who lead a life as glamorous and fine as we want.
Much as Ollie is not a Leo (now now, what is she? I better check it up),
she displays strong characteristics like Mummy and me.

Everyday, I look at Ollie, Laogong looks at Ollie, and we go,
"Very cute hor. Very clever hor."
Note, those are statements, not questions.
I'm sure all parents feel the same way.
My child is da best!

Watching Ollie turn, flip, crawl, stand and now, almost cruising,
is quite emotional too.
This little champion who was doing the same in my womb last year
is now doing all these right in front of me!
Soon, Ollie will be One.

I will continue to spoil her.
Giving her the best,
being the best I can for her.

PS1: Verbal vomit. I didn't draft. I didn't edit.
Simply typed all these out.
Which kind of explain the flow, or rather no flow of words.

PS2: Ollie is not having a Onederful Party.
She is not able to tell me who she wants to invite
or what will be the the theme she desires.
Till she can verbalise what she wants
(and yes, she gets whatever she wants),
there is no party.
I predict we will have one when she is 3 or 4.

PS3: If you're still reading, you're good!
Haha, I seldom do a verbal vomit.
(but I'm in the mood today, two entries!)
I doubt Laogong will read till here too!

Bye!

Ollie is 10 months young!

Mama:
Was trying to make Ollie look at the camera today,
but decided it wasn't necessary,
Sometimes we try too hard to capture the moment,
we forgot to enjoy the moment.
So, presenting, Ollie at her most natural! :)

Ollie:
What exactly is it with time?
It is flying past far too fast!
One year ago,
today,
Mama was just starting to wash my new clothes!
Today, I am 10 months young!
This morning, Mama took me shopping.
I love it!
(Haha.)
After Papa had finished with his lesson,
he took us to Harbourfront.
Gymboree was closed for some change in setting.
We will head back tomorrow.
Papa then drove us to Gardens by the Bay.
We had lunch at Hillstreet Cafe before making a dash
into the Flower Dome!
The haze was quite bad today.

Mid Autumn bloomed with a celebration of chrysanthemums.
We missed the lantern displays but well,
we got to see the flowers!

Mama says maybe I can look into Bollywood.
There is this affinity between tourists from India and I.
They have approached me many times to request
for a photo today.
This time round, Mama remembered to take a picture

Thud!

That's the sound that woke Mama up this morning.
We were back in our Sg home.
I really wasn't sleepy.
Mama was sleeping and I decided to venture down the (high) bed.
Back in our Msia home, Papa and Mama have taught me to get down, legs first.
Here, I haven't had much chance to practise and...
Before I knew it, I landed on the floor, on my forehead with a loud thud.
It was extremely painful.
I wailed out loud.
I screamed.
Mama got a shock.
Ah mah got a shock.
惊天动地。
Don't worry.
I'm fine.
Ah mah boiled an egg and rubbed it on my forehead.
Mama is steady also.
Calm and steady.
She pacified me and I was laughing and playing after 5 minutes.
Papa came home during his lunch break to Sayang me.
Anyway, I'm alright!
Babies grow up with bumps here and there.
I'll grow even strong and even sturdier!
我是铁头妹!

Yay! I can climb down the bed...

Yay! Safe landing!
I can climb down the bed, legs first.
Knocked me head several times
trying to get down the bed previously.
Mama has been telling me to go
the other way and finally, I did it!
Yay! Which also means, I can explore
even more places now!

Lin & Toh's Family Date @GBB - Sep 11

Yeah!
Polling day.
Public holiday!
Our Papas are not working so off we went to GBB.
Under Auntie Sennett and Uncle Joshua's advice, Papa and Mama bought the annual passes!
Yay to more GBB dates!
The place is very cooling!
Nice, just the way I love it.
Nearer than Genting, I foresee Papa and Mama bringing me here often.
The flowers are so pretty!
It was a great family date!
More please!
