Hello Disneyland Again!

Other than work, MAIN HIGHLIGHT of our HK trip (for laogong) was to eat (and let Ollie try): smelly beancurd, roasted pigeon and snake soup. I only allowed Ollie to try the beancurd.

We almost got our flight's timing wrong but well,
we realised our mistake on time! Phew!
We woke up super early because we were hungry!
Had breakfast at the lounge even though we'll be served
breakfast onboard.
I was glad also that Ollie slept half of the flight!
Love HK MTR system, we basically could take the train
everywhere. Everywhere is so connected!
Checked in and headed out to eat immediately,
Dorsett is a good place to stay.
Many good food places around, and most importantly,
Mcd and a supermarket are just across the street!
Went to Thousand Buddhas Monastery to make merit.
The walk up was challenging, even more challenging because
I had to Tula Ollie all the way!

I look pretty much the same in all the pictures because ...
I only packed one cardigan.
I did bring two bags though,
so there is a slight variety.
Haha.

We visited DisneyLand for two days!
All for Ollie.
Her favourite has to be the Small World ride.
It was really boring for us!
Again, all for Ollie!
This is Ollie's second DisneyLand visit.
The first was in Paris.
I still find the one in Florida the best!
We have to go back to USA!
She didn't really fancy taking pictures with the mascots.
She did get excited and waved and waved but
when it was her turn, she cried and refused!

If anyone notices, Ollie loves to put up one finger!
Whenever I tell her, "Pose, Ollie, pose,"
she will do that!

Definitely two well spent days in DisneyLand!

Other things that we did:
We went to work with laogong and visited
some swimmers with him.
We fought our first dim sum war and had yummy dim sum at
 蓮香樓.
Thanks to Ollie, she helped us conquer all the grumpy folks
by smiling at them, shaking their hands.

Of course, we also went shopping!
We finally had laogong's favourite pigeon at
太平大饭店.
Yet another great trip!
Every trip is fabulous!

Short Trip to Bangkok

Hello to our 3rd home again!
Barely three months and we're back!
Ollie is a rather seasoned traveller and she is
always so at ease at the airport!
Shops her way around!
Didn't manage to have dinner with Nui in BKK but
at least we had breakfast together at the airport!
It was very hot in BKK and we didn't join
Laogong for his lessons at the pool.
Ollie and I gallivanted around in the air-conditioned malls!
When Laogong joined us, he and Ollie had so much fun at the
indoor (free) playground.
Central World is always out favouite mall.
It has everything Ollie likes.
MK. Large toy department. Indoor play areas.
Laogong always love the cruise dinner and so,
he had to take Ollie there for dinner!
And we love this particular cruise because it is catered
more for the Thais.
Yes, we don't really fancy the touristy type.
Ollie enjoyed herself, I'm sure!
Clapping to the live band singing Thai ballads,
enjoying the food,
feeling the cool wind,
everything!
Looking forward to going back to our 3rd home soon,
and of course to the HK trip next week!

Road Trip to KL - Genting

It was a much needed respite from the heat
to drive on to Genting after Laogong's lessons in KL.
It was totally panas-maximus in SG and JB.
Genting was so cooling!
The usual road trip but with Papa joining us this time round.
In KL, we also met Maira and family for lunch.
It was a joy to be at their lovely house!
They were very hospitable too!
The entire time, Ollie and I were eating and eating (or sleeping).
She had a good time with all the very economical rides too!
Past few times, she didn't mange to meet the minium
height requirement.
I hope she will have fun in HK DisneyLand end of the month.
Ollie is very much a seasoned traveller in her car seat
and I am very happy!
We can go everywhere again!

Paris Day 7 (11 Feb)

We got ready to go back home!
Final bit of shopping for Ollie,
she picked a Hello Kitty.

After slightly more than 5 hours of flight from
Paris to Doha, it was a good break at the airport lounge.
We ate yummy food and Ollie had a bit of time to walk
and crawl around.
The food was slightly unusual, I guess to suit the
taste bud of the locals.

The papa and daughter played with ice to pass time!
Luckily I had a spare top for Ollie to change.

The last 7 hours of flight, Ollie slept on my lap throughout.
We had the bassinet of course but, every time the seat belt
sign came on, we had to remove her from the bassinet.
I decided to just carry her.
7 whole hours!
I had a backache for the day but well,
Ollie is the most important!

This Paris trip was as like any other trip we took,
a fabulous one!
It was blissful to see Ollie so happy at Disney Land.
It was joyous to shop at the Mothership of Hermes.
It was pure happiness to discuss Hermes with Laogong,
a new convert.
It was lovely to stroll down the different tourist attractions.
We didn't take as much photos as we used to do
because it was very cold!
Memories are well kept in the mind and in the heart.

Paris Day 6 (10 Feb)

Early morning, we decided to take the train down to Champ Elysees
to do more shopping instead of taking a stroll.
After five days of strolling everywhere in Paris,
well, I am tired!
It was a fast ride and we got there in about 15 minutes.

Shopped away happily and purchased the final orange box of the trip
and we spotted quite a few fast cars parked along the road.
Some kind of service for people to experience driving them.
We headed to the Mercedes store to look at some cars too.

A day of triumph when it comes to shopping!
We strolled a bit around Champ Elysees and
headed back to the apartment to put down all the shopping bags.

We headed down to Le Luxembourg for happy hour
and dinner again.
The escargots and creme brulee were absolutely yummy!
Well, we also like their service.
(absolutely a fan of good service)

Paris Day 5 (9 Feb)

It was a rainy day so we stayed indoors
and we shopped whole day.
We had our coffee break at the Hermes Cafe at Sevres.
The chocolate orange cake was very yummy!
Coffee was nothing spectacular.
The store is very beautiful though.
Slow and easy day as usual :)

Paris Day 4 (8 Feb)

The trip to DisneyLand was slightly rainy.
Nonetheless, we had great fun and it was most precious
to see the smiles and hear the laughter of Ollie.
Nothing matters more than that.
(Really la, Birkins and whatever orange boxes aside,
OLLIE'S HAPPINESS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT.)

That day, was the first time Ollie got to experience rides.
After watching so many episodes of Mickey Mouse,
she was really excited to see Mickey in real life!
The priceless expression of hers when we were in the queue
to take a photo with Mickey was totally unforgettable.

She didn't get to go on many rides,
but every ride that she got to go,
made her so happy!
I think she especially love
It's A Small World.
She smiles and dances along when I play the song
after the ride.

Laogong was very happy too.
He is a great Disney fan.
To be able to bring Ollie and me to Disney Land,
he is definitely very happy.
