Pororo Park @ Marina Square

The other day, 红千金's mama was back in town on a Friday,

so off to Pororo Park.

 It wasn't very suitable for them but well, not too bad a place to take photos!

It was super duper crowded due to it being the last day of school.

Much as we managed to take a picture with Pororo,

Ollie didn't really fancy Pororo.

(so it's really not easy having her sit on my lap

as I blog)

Scarlett and mama came to join us for yummilicious desserts

and more phototaking! 

This is definitely the season to be merry and

to celebrate Ollie's birthday!

As I sat on Papa's bed with Ollie today, looking at Mummy's photographs on the wall, I got really emotional. 

What it would have been like to have her still with us? 

We were looking through some of Mummy's stuff today, a lot of certificates. 

Mummy had been in the beauty circle for a good whole 3 decades. 

It was a lot of certificates that we looked through together. 

Mummy left her legacy behind. 

She had a few hundreds of customers. 

She was proud of her career and we are all proud of her achievement. 

I'm glad Mummy met Ollie, though a mere 5 months.

I'm sure Ollie felt the presence of her then. 

Spent a few days out with Ollie this week. 

I feel that she has grown up so much. 

Also, too fast. 

Got me all emotional too,  thinking about how fast she is growing up. 

Wait for Mama, Ollie. 

Fun week I had with Ollie, but at the same time, overwhelming emotions. 

Fun Filled Tuesday

I am Xiaoxin.

For the sake of Ollie, we went to 追星 (chase star) yesterday.

Or rather, we went to 追老鼠 (chase mouse)...

This is a good chance to let Ollie meet Mickey and Minnie (and Donald),

before we head over to Paris' DisneyLand.

We met Keira (and Khalif) and Scarlett there too. 

After the super short session, haha, we had lunch and 

Laogong drove us to Gardens By The Bay.

I managed to capture some nice photos of the two BFFs.

Giggling Day

I am Xiaoxin. Ollie's Mama.

I'm constantly worried about Ollie being too 

powerful with her moves.

She doesn't know her strength and often

might end up hurting another baby.

(Trust me, she is really strong.)

Sorry, Mummies!

I will keep reminding her to be more gentle.

I took the easy way out, to collage the pictures,

instead of taking a group photo! 

Haha.

Unexpected Painting Class.

Well, we tried hard.

Only Nat Nat & Arissa seemed to be really interested.

3 Weeks to Dec 5

I am Xiaoxin. 

Ollie's Mama. 

Hello my dear baby, you'll be one really really soon. 

Didn't we just find out about you? 

Didn't we just made an appointment to see the gynae? 

Didn't we just feel your first kick? 

So many 'Didn't we?', and here you're sleeping soundly beside me. 

One rare night that you're sound asleep by 2230h when we're back in Sg. 

Everyone else slept early. 

Mama had a good time chatting with Auntie G, J &  S. 

All the other aunties must be rather irritated at 

us for wasting their data plan. Haha. 

With everyone asleep, I'm sort of relinquishing

 the wee hours me time that I used to have all the time... 

Now, you are definitely the main priority. 

Like just now, when Papa came to fetch Mama home, 

we were thinking if we should head down to Mustafa 

for some random date / shopping. 

Without much thoughts, we abandoned the idea readily. 

We wanted to spend time with you instead. 

Thankfully, we get to spend a lot of time with you. 

Really almost all the time... 

Blessed child you are, just like how blessed we're too. 

So, even if you don't smile for Mama, haha, 

you're still Mama and Papa's most beautiful child! 

Souper Papa Jerry: Edition 罗宋汤

I requested for ABC soup and so Laogong made me some today!

He used:

Pork Ribs

Carrot

Corn

Potato

Onions

Tomato

All in estimated portion.

Haha.

We didn't weigh / measure.

Ollie's Road Trip: Batu Pahat

I woke up early this morning and woke Papa and Mama up too! 

I was excited about the road trip! 

It was not Papa and Mama's first time but it's my first! 

We went to:

- BK for breakfast, 

- some random furniture shop to buy a new cane rocking horse, 

- Rengit Cafe for coffee, 

- 大伯公庙 to pray and touch the lucky fish, 

- Ship House for delicious and fresh seafood & 

- Big Toys to buy toys. 

Great day we had!

Souper Papa Jerry: Edition 莲藕汤

I am Xiaoxin.

Jerry's Laopo.

Ollie's Mama.

We have been going to Souper Tang (汤师傅) 

for Leng Ngau Tong (莲藕汤).

And for our small family of three, 

(effectively, only we drink the soup, not Ollie)

we always order the large portion.

Then again, there is only one for size for LNT.

If I remember correctly, it should be priced at RM45.90.

Very reasonable price for the portion.

However, Laogong decided that he wants to boil it for us.

And he really impressed me!

So much so that after yesterday's soup,

I told him to boil it again today.

Absolutely yummy!

He used:

Pork Ribs

Lotus Root

Water

Dried Scallops

Dates

Peanuts

Dried Cuttlefish

Wolfberry

(no salt added because Ollie takes the soup too)

(then again, the dried cuttlefish is salty!)

I think we're getting pretty domesticated!

Personal Ball Pool

I woke up this morning and saw a new toy! 

Huge one! 

My very own ball pool! 

Yeah! 

However, I think it's a conspiracy to keep me confined while Mama is busy in the kitchen. 

Then again, Mama came into the pool with me. 

She seems happier than me. 

Maybe the pool is really for her? 

Anyway, breakfast time! 

First Time @ The Outdoor Playground

We went back to visit 外公 but he wasn't home. 

Mama decided to take me to the playground 

downstairs to wait for 外公 to come back. 

The playground was kind of boring. 

The one at home is so much more fun. 

Mama put me on one of the rides. 

Boring ride. 

I decided to stand up but that gave Mama a bad scare. 

Haha. It was fun though. 

外公 came back shortly and well, I was a good girl. 

I sat down and let him rock me gently.

The weather was very warm and we decided

 to go back to the air-conditioned home. 

Haha. 

Winning Recipe of the Day

Mama doesn't usually wake
up earlier than I do. 

I'm always the one making noise w
ith my toys to wake up her. 

She has to find ways to make quick
(3 minutes preparation, 15 minutes cooking) breakfast for me. 

Porridge is definitely out. 

Today she tried another version
of steamed egg and I love it! 

She used:

1 egg 

1/2 roll of egg tofu 

Random amount of carrot 

(not too much please) 

Some salmon 

(more more, I like!) 

100ml of water

Pinch of silver fish powder

She mixed them all up and steamed
 for about 15 minutes. 

It was yummy! I love, love, love it! 

The portion was still too much though so Charcoal kor kor had some of my leftover. Hehe. 

Giggles-Filled Day

Mama likes the photo above a lot.

She says she likes my expression.

Headed to Giggles with some Dec 2014 baby friends today. 

We occupied the whole ball pool! 

Mama and all the aunties and uncles sat with us to play in the ball pool. 

Oppz. Then all the other kor kors and jie jies cannot dash / jump in! 

It was a great day!
